ADN HeathCare Professions Scholarship up to $10,000   

The Health Professions Education Foundation offer scholarships to students who are accepted or enrolled in an Associate Degree Nursing Program in California. Each scholarship awards up to $10,000 for one school year and goes toward any educational costs. In exchange for this award, students sign a contract stating that they will graduate, receive their registered nursing license and work at a qualified facility in a medically under-served are providing direct patient care for two years. Associate Degree Nursing & Pre-Nursing Scholarship Application

The purpose of the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) and Pre-Nursing Scholarship awards is to increase the number of registered nurses (RN) practicing in medically underserved areas of California.

Applications for the Associate Degree Nursing and Pre-Nursing Scholarship are accepted biannually.  Monies awarded under these programs are intended to pay tuition, required fees, books, supplies, and educational equipment costs related to the applicants registered nurse or pre-nursing education.  All awards are subject to the availability of funding.

Associate Degree Nursing Scholarships:  Students may receive up to $8,000
Pre-Nursing Scholarship:  Students may receive up to $4,000

Spring application postmark deadline:  March 24,  2007
Fall application postmark deadline:  September 15, 2007
