conference game. The gladiators beat SJCC 9-6 and wins the series 2 wins 1 loss
against SJCC bringing them closer to playoff contention.

4/14/2009: Baseball visited Hartnell in hopes of climbing up the
standings. The Gladiators showed that they are not giving up without a fight as
the slayed the Panthers 15 - 2.
3/28/2009: Baseball traveled to San Jose City College for a chance to redeem themselves from last game. The Gladiators were determined to come out on top and did with the help of Pitcher Tyler Rogers who had a complete Game shutout. Chabot won 3 -0.
3/26/2009: Baseball hosted Mission College for a conference game and the Gladiators showed no mercy to the Saints beating them 16-2.
3/24/2009: Baseball traveled to Monterey Peninsula College for a crossover conference game. The Gladiators battled until the end the MPC made the best of home field advantage and barely edged out Chabot with a score of 6-7.

second time this season. Chabot has already beaten CCSF and hopes of beating
them again, but CCSF did not come to lose. The game was tight, but CCSF had a
big enough lead to hold off the Gladiators with a score of 10-8.

conference game and lost a close game 4-6.
3/12/2008: Baseball hosted Rival Ohlone College in a crossover conference game, in which Ohlone triumphed over Chabot with a score of 5-8.

3/8/2009: Baseball hosted West Valley College on Sunday postponed from Thursday due to the weather. Chabot battled hard, but came up short losing 3-6.
3/7/2009: Baseball hosted Mission college for a conference game. The Saints found themselves in a hole early as Chabot scored 2 runs in the first inning, but the Saints began to march in teh middle innings as they take the lead until the 9th inning. It seems as if Mission college was going to sneak away with a win, but Chabot baseball team showed that Gladiators fight until the end and pulled off a 9 run surge in the 9th inning to take the lead to beat Mission 16-9.

2/28/2009: Baseball traveled to College of San Mateo (CSM) and a chance to extend the win streak, but CSM fought back winning the game with a score of 6-1.

2/25/2009: Baseball hosted Solano College for a non conference game. Both teams were equally matched that day, but Solano edged out Chabot for the win with a score of 2-1.

2/2/08: This weekend the Baseball team had a doubleheader. Baseball split with Sacramento City College winning the first game 7-5. Daniel McDaniel was the starting pitcher. Second game Chabot lost a close game of 1-2.
5/18/07: Baseball visited Fresno for the super regional tournament. They first faced Cosumnes River College for the first game of the tourney on Friday. Chabot came to play that day beating Cosumnes college 11-6. The next day was going to be a challenge because the host team Fresno City College defeated Santa Rosa College the previous day. The game was close each team battling each other, but Chabot came up short losing 6-3. Following after the game the Gladiators would face Cosumnes College once again because they beat Santa Rosa That morning. Chabot came out with no mercy punishing Cosumnes beating them 12-0 and another chance to beat Fresno City on Sunday. Sunday was a new day and Chabot had a challenge ahead of themselves on trying to beat Fresno City twice for a berth into the State Tournament. Chabot started on the right foot taking the lead early on in the 2nd inning, but Fresno City struck back to tie the game in the 3rd inning. Chabot battled back and retook the lead. In the end Fresno City won the game 11-8 ending the Gladiators Season. The boys left it out on the field and they should be proud of what was accomplished this season. 5/12/07: Baseball played in the 1st round playoffs against Skyline College this weekend. First game was Friday, Chabot battled hard, but came up short losing by 4 runs. The Gladiators were shoved into a corner with no way out. Saturday the Gladiators fought their way out of the corner beating Skyline in the 2nd game 9 runs to 6. The series was tied one to one and the 3rd game will determine who will advance. The game was close, but the Gladiator overcame and fought through the end. Chabot won the 3rd game 5-2 and advanced to the 2nd round of playoffs. Chabot will travel to Fresno City College for a 4 team Double elimination tournament.
5/8/07: Chabot finished the season on a strong note winning all three scheduled game last week to become the Coast conference Champion in the south division. CHABOT BASEBALL team is ranked #3 in Northern California and will host 1st round playoffs against Skyline College. 1 st Rd playoff format is a best 2 0f 3 games. 1st game will be played on Friday @ 3 pm. 2nd Game Saturday @ 12 noon and game 3 if needed will be played shortly after game 2. 1/26/07: Baseball Traveled to Los Angeles for a 4 game weekend that ended short due to rain. Chabot did manage to play two game, one against Pasadena beating them 9-0 and then played Oxnard that evening losing the game 8-4.

5/22/06: Chabot college Baseball Team Lost in the second round
of the Northern California Community College Playoffs this past weekend to put
an end to their season. In the first game of the second round Chabot lost to
Sierra college by a score of 8-7. Chabot scored two runs in the first ending
without even getting a hit. Ryan Sandoval started out the ending by striking
out, then Andy Darnell and Chris Chambers followed with a pair of walks and Nick
Pena was hit by a pitch to get Chabot's two runs. Finally, Mason Reily ended the
ending by striking out.
The Wolverines managed a run in the second and scored seven times in the third.
Mickey Weisser's grand slam capped the outburst, giving Sierra had an 8-2 lead
and chasing Chabot starter Matt Gardner, whose wildness contributed to the big
inning.
A two-run homer by Andy Launier launched the rally and gave Sierra a 3-2 lead,
after designated hitter Bubba Liman led off with a single.
Gardner loaded the bases by allowing a single and two walks, and his third walk
of the inning forced in a run before Weisser's slam.
The Gladiators chipped away with three runs in the seventh that including RBI
singles by Chris Cooper and Darnell and added a pair in the eighth when Geoff
Byrns and Sandoval delivered RBI hits.
Chabot got the tying run aboard in the ninth when Chambers led off with a
single. Bryce Mendonca entered as a pinch runner and moved to second on a
sacrifice bunt by Pena. Reilly grounded out to move Mendonca to third, but
Sierra reliever Josh Priest struck out Jeff Bernacil to end the game.
In the second game Chabot lost to West Valley College by a score of 5-3. This
game was held at Skyline College. Chabot rallied in the bottom of the sixth
ending with 3 three runs to break open a scoreless tie. Chabot's Byrce Mendonca
led off the ending with a infield single. Then with one out, Kyle Cooper was hit
by pitch and Geoff Byrns singled home Mendonca. Andy Darnell followed with a two
run double to give Chabot a 3-0 lead. In the seventh ending, Chabot's Justin
Friend hit a batter and walked the next three batters to force in the first run
for West Valley. Then Ryan Stavert entered into the game as the relief pitcher
and walked the first batter to give West Valley their second run. Then West
Valley David Newton hit a two-run single to give West Valley a 4-3 game lead.
Chabot put a runner aboard in the seventh and eighth innings but couldn't
advance the runner past first either time, and Newton came in from left field to
record the final three outs and earned the save.

5/15/06: The Chabot Baseball Team Won its first two games in the
state playoffs to advance to the second round of playoffs to be held at West
Valley College this coming weekend, Friday through Sunday, May 19 - 21. This
will be a double - elimination and Chabot will be playing against Sierra.
In the first game against Butte, Chabot won by a score of 7 - 2. In this game
Chabots gave up a run in the second to make it 2 -1 for six innings. But Chabot
broke the game open in the 8th inning when Chris Chambers reached on a bunt base
hit and Nick Pena got an RBI singke. Mason Reily gave Chabot a 4 - 1 lead with a
scrifice fly and Jeff Bernacil hit a three run home run to make it 7 - 1. In the
nineth inning, Butte College hit a home run to make the score 7 - 2. But that is
the way the game ended.
In the second game, Chabot won by a score of 14 - 8. Geoff Bryns hit a two run
home run in a five run first inning. The Butte pitcher Matt Davis lasted only
two- thirds of an inning, as Chabot had a 8 - 3lead through three innings. The
Gladiator got four more runs in the seventh. Andy Darnell had a two run double
and Nick Pena had a two-run single. Darnell added a shot in the ninth and he
finished 3-for-5 with three RBIs. Kyle Cooper also hit a home run and scored
three times. Justin Friend got the win for the Gladiator allowing 4 runs, seven
hits and striking out seven in six innings. Ryan Stewart pitched the last inning
and gave up no runs and 1 hit.

5/2/06: The Chabot Baseball team played last Tuesday, April 25
against West Valley College and lost to them by a score of 7 - 6. Chabots Andy
Darnell, Jeff Bernacil and Mason Reily all hit home runs. Then on Thursday,
April 27, Chabot played against Gavilan College and Chabot won by a score of 11
- 0. In this game Mason Reily hit another home run. Then on Saturday, April 29,
Chabot played against Monterey Peninsula College and Chabot won by a score of 17
- 3. In this game Chabot's Geoff Byrns, Rylan Sandoval and Andy Darnell all a
hit home Run.

5/23/05: Chabot Baseball Team played in the California Community College Baseball Playoffs this weekend in Fresno. In game 1 - Friday, May 20 - Chabot played against Sacramento City College and lost to them 9 - 6. In game 2 - also on Friday - Chabot played against Porterville College and Chabot won 15 - 3. On Saturday, May 21 - In game 3 - Chabot played against Sacramento City College again and revenged their lost by beating Sacramento by a score of 7 - 6. In the final two games which was played on Sunday, May 22 - Chabot played against Fresno City College and in their first game against Fresno, Chabot won by score of 6 - 3. But in the final game against Fresno, Chabot lost by a score of 10 - 4.

5/2/05: The Chabot College Baseball team clinched the Coast Conference (South) Championship on Saturday April 30, 2005, with a 5-1 victory over Monterey Peninsula College. Their back-to-back championships (2004 & 2005) was the 5th Conference championship for the Gladiators since their inclusion in the Coast Conference in 1995. The Gladiators were led by LHP Jeff Soskin, who relieved injured starting pitcher James Gilbert, with 5 1/3 IP, allowing only 1 run, 5 hits and recording 4 strikeouts. Soskin's overall record is now 2-0.
On Thursday April 28, 2005, the Gladiators defeated Gavilan College 9-5. D.J. Hollingsworth led the offense with 4 hits, 3 runs & 2 RBI's. Chris Chambers had a bases loaded triple which put the game out of reach.
The Gladiators have just 2 remaining games, Tuesday at home vs. Hartnell and Thursday at San Jose, before starting the Northern California Community College Playoffs on Friday May 13. With an overall record of 23-11 and current league record of 18-5, the Gladiators are looking to finish on an up swing.
