Chabot College can help you maximize the State TANF (AFDC) time-limits!

The CalWORKs program is a system of services for TANF / AFDC recipients intended to help families receiving state aid achieve economic self sufficiency.  The CalWORKs Program at Chabot College serves CalWORKs students by providing educational and career opportunities that enable students to complete their educational goals, find meaningful employment, and successfully transition into the workforce.  Our program supports economic self-sufficiency through the attainment of a higher education.

Chabot College provides accelerated comprehensive workforce solutions to Southern Alameda County residents and beyond. Accelerated courses and programs allow for flexible scheduling and are designed for new career seekers and working adults, in addition to welfare recipients who are looking for the very best in education and training.

  • Computer Repair
  • Family Home Day Care Worker
  • Emergency Medical Technician
  • Information Technical Support

All Chabot College CalWORKs training programs are pre-approved by Alameda County.
