Accreditation

Chabot College, one of two colleges in the Chabot-Las Positas Community College District (CLPCCD), is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC), Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), 331 J Street, Suite 200, Sacramento, CA 95814, (415) 506-0234, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Educational Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education. 

Chabot College completed its last comprehensive review for reaffirmation of accreditation by ACCJC January 2016. As part of the current seven-year accreditation cycle, the college completed self-evaluation with the submission of the Chabot College 2022 Institutional Self-Evaluation Report (ISER) to ACCJC, December 2021.

The ACCJC Peer Review Team completed a formative review of the 2022 ISER with a Core Inquiries Report forwarded to the college, February 23, 2022. The college submitted its response to the Peer Review Team’s Core Inquiries to ACCJC in a Core Inquiries Report, September 26, 2022. The summative review of the 2022 ISER will be conducted during the ACCJC Peer Review Team focused site visit, October 11-12, 2022.
