High School Concurrent Enrollment Program
To High School Students…
Now you can get college credit while still in high school! There is no enrollment
cost except for the service fee of $16 for Spring/Fall semester and $12 for
Summer session.
Follow these steps to enroll:
- Check out the
schedule of classes and find up to 6 units of classes you want to
take. Note: Limited enrollment to advanced scholastic courses. Enrollment in
physical education or basic skills courses will not be allowed.
- Complete and submit a
Chabot College Online
Application for Admission.
- Complete the
Recommendation
for Concurrent Enrollment Program for High School Students form and get
the required signatures (principal, counselor & parent). Bring or mail
it to the Chabot College Admissions & Records Office, 25555 Hesperian
Blvd., Hayward 94545.
- Request from your counselor a copy of your high school transcript be sent
to the above address, Attention: Concurrent Enrollment Application for Admission.
- You will be notified by mail of your approved recommendation and be given
a date when you can register in person. (Summer/Fall 2008 registration dates
start May 21st. Refer to the Academic
Calendar for deadline dates.)

Concurrent Enrollment Description and Regulations: Chabot
College provides opportunities for minor students to enroll in college-level,
degree-applicable courses for advanced scholastic or advanced vocational purposes.
Students who desire to participate in concurrent enrollment must be recommended
by their principal and have written parental permission. Concurrently enrolled
students will be permitted to enroll in no more than six units per semester
or two classes. The students will be treated as regular college students and
are expected to comply with all college rules and regulations. At the completion
of the course, the student receives college credit. They must arrange for their
own transportation to and from the college and provide their own books and equipment.
