Partnerships with Transfer Institutions

Chabot College students have the opportunity to take courses under our Cross Registration, Concurrent Enrollment and Dual Admission programs at nearby transfer institutions. Information, requirements, applications and assistance is available in the Transfer Center or the Counseling Center in Building 100.

Cross Registration with California State University, Hayward

Students who have completed 20 semester units at Chabot College may be eligible to cross-register with California State University, Hayward, while completing the requirements for an Associate in Arts Degree at Chabot. Students who elect to cross-register may enroll in courses at the four-year institution which are either upper division or not offered at any time by Chabot College.

Cross Registration with Mills College, Oakland

Students who have completed 20 semester units at Chabot College may be eligible to cross-register with Mills College while completing the requirements for an Associate in Arts Degree at Chabot. The same coursework limitations that apply for California State University, Hayward, apply at Mills College. Such students should contact the Director of Admissions & Records at Chabot College in the Office of Admissions & Records in Building 100.

Concurrent Enrollment - University of California at Berkeley

Chabot College students who have completed 20 UC transferable units and have at least a 2.4 GPA in the transferable coursework may be eligible to participate in concurrent enrollment with the University of California at Berkeley. Students will be allowed to take ONE lower division course a semester, for a maximum of two semesters. For further information, visit the Counseling Center in Building 100.

Dual Admission Program with California State University, Hayward

The Dual Admission Program is intended for beginning college students who wish to start their baccalaureate degree at a community college and upon completion of the requirements for transfer, enroll at California State University, Hayward. An important advantage of participating in the program is the waiver of the CSU application fee. To participate, students must first enroll in the Dual Admission Program before the end of the first semester at the community college.
