I’m from San Diego County originally. I went to UCSD for my undergraduate work and majored in chemistry. I went to MIT and got a Ph.D. in physical chemistry. I then did a postdoc in biophysics at Northeastern University. After that, I started teaching chemistry: first at some community colleges in the Seattle area and then at the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia, for about 3 years. I came to Chabot College starting in the Fall of 2000 and have been here ever since! I really enjoy Chabot, it’s a really great environment. I have taught almost all of the chemistry courses we offer here, but mostly organic chemistry 12A and 12B and introductory chemistry 31. I also sometimes teach general chemistry 1A and 1B and allied health chemistry 30A.
