Jason Ames (he/him) is a Professor of Communication Studies and an Instructor in the "CIN!" (Change It Now!) Social Justice learning community. A Chabot College alumnus, he has a Masters Degree in Communication from CSU, Hayward and a Masters Degree in Education (Social Justice and Equity) from SFSU. Jason currently serves as the Communication Studies Discipline Coordinator and as the Member-at-Large for the Faculty Association. He is the former Director of the national-award-winning Speech and Debate team, former President of the Northern California Forensics Association, and former Vice President of the Academic/Faculty Senate. In his spare time Jason actively supports groups that work to eliminate poverty, hunger, and homelessness. He also enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, doing yoga, playing board and video games, rooting for the A's/Sharks/Warriors, playing golf, and is learning how to play the drums.
