Maria Gutierrez Ventura is a first-generation college student. Raised in Hayward she attended Chabot College where she received her AA-T in Psychology. She holds a BA in Psychology from San Jose State University and a MS in Counseling with a Specialization in Higher Education and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.) from San Francisco State University. Maria has been a part of the Gladiator family through various roles including student-athlete, student assistant, outreach specialist, administrative assistant, DSPS Counselor Intern, Puente Project Counselor Coordinator/Instructor, Dream Center Coordinator and now Dream Center Counselor. Maria is able to assist you in your educational and career goals in Spanish and English.
