HOW IT WORKS
Click "Sign Up" to create an account.
Your website URL / address will be in the format
http://www.chabotcollege.edu/site.cfm?
instructor=yourname
After signing up, you will recieve an email confirmation with your login. |

Click the "Instructor Log In" link.

If you forget your login, click the "Forgot Login?" link and enter your email address to be emailed your login.

After logging in, you will see your control panel.

Click "Edit My Home Page" in your control panel.

This will update your website's home page.

EDIT YOUR SITE'S DESIGN |
Click "Manage Site Design" in your control panel. You can change your site's color scheme or customize you design with your own colors and header image.

There are many premade color schemes to choose from.

ADD COURSES AND SYLLABI |
Click "Manage Courses & Syllabi" in your control panel. You can copy and paste your syllabi from MS Word into the HTML editor.

Courses appear as links in your website's menu. Each course contains a set of premade, optional pages.

Click "Manage My Office Hours" in your control panel.

Each course has an office hours page.

Click "Manage Calendar" in your control panel. Each course gets its own separate calendar of events. In addition, there is a main calendar. You can also disable a calendar (see #13 below).

CREATE PHOTO ALBUMS / UPLOAD PHOTOS |
Click "Manage Photos" from your control panel. Each course gets its own separate photo page. In addition, you can have photo page in the main area. You can also disable any unused photo pages. (see #13 below).
Create a photo album first.

Then, click "Manage Photos" beside the album you want to upload/delete photos to/from.

UPLOAD FILES / DOCUMENTS |
Click "Manage Files / Documents" in your control panel. Each course gets its own separate page for uploaded files. In addition, there is one in the main area. You can also disable any of these pages (see #13 below). You can also group files into folders.

You can upload files of your syllabus, homework assignments, etc for your students to download.

Click "Manage Links" in your control panel. Each course gets its own separate page for links. In addition, there is one in the main area. You can also disable any of these pages (see #13 below). You can also group links into a category.

You can add links to outside resources.

Click "Manage Custom Pages" in your control panel. You can add new pages to your website. Pages can be added in the main area and underneath each course area. You can also arrange pages in the order you like.

Click "Manage Announcements" in your control panel.

|
All announcements show up on your home page.

Here you will see the navigation menu structure of your website. You can show and hide any pages in your website except the home page.

The rich HTML editor allows you to customize page content. Below is a screen snap shot of the editor's buttons.

Embedding a YouTube video or other widget code
Click to toggle to HTML source code view before pasting any HTML or other code in your pages.
Pasting from MS Word
Click to open the MS Word dialog box where you can paste text your copied from MS Word. You can choose to remove formatting and styling to clean up the text.
Inserting an image in your page
Click to open the Image dialog box. Then click "Browse Server" to open the Browse Server box. Click "Browse" to browse for an image (jpg or gif) on your computer. Then click "Upload" and "OK".
