This website includes all discretionary grants offered by the 26 Federal grant-making agencies. You can search for federal grant opportunities (old and new) and also use the system to apply online. Many federal agencies require that you use this system exclusively to apply for grants while others allow submissions through their own agencies' systems and grants.gov.

Although not a federal agency, this national organization is a Service Learning resource center that partners with thousands of organizations committed to increasing the quality and quantity of volunteer opportunities for young people, ages 5-25. Their website lists current grant opportunities that support Service Learning and youth-initiated activities.
California Community Colleges, Chancellor's
This state agency in California oversees all 108 community colleges and serves
as a primary source of grant funding statewide.
California Community Colleges, Chancellor's Office – Economic and Workforce Development – NEW!
This site provides additional Economic and Workforce Development grants that may or may not be listed on the CCCCO’s main grants page.
California State Library – NEW!
This agency administers and hosts grant programs that help make California an information rich, culturally responsive state. Most of the grant programs are competitive, unless announced otherwise. Each grant program housed at the California State Library has its own application processes, criteria, deadlines, and governances.
California Postsecondary Education Commission
This state agency serves as the research arm for the California legislature
on higher education policy and as a statewide postsecondary information clearinghouse.
The commission also administers grant programs.
California Council for the Humanities
This state agency provides grants for public humanities projects, including
reading and discussion programs, film and speaker grants, conferences and lecture
programs among others.
California Arts Council – NEW!
This agency provides grants that support the arts. Although there are currently no grants for this academic year that apply to Chabot, check back next year for upcoming opportunities.
Art is Education (ACOE) - NEW!
A project of the Alameda County Office of Education, this website has grant resources as well as links to various arts programs and professional development opportunities in Alameda County.
The Foundation Center
This site serves as an information clearinghouse for private, corporate, and
community foundation funding. Grantseekers will also find funding research and
grantwriting tutorials as well as general information about the nonprofit sector
on this website.
CCINET is the Corporate Community Involvment site from the Charaities Aid Foundation.
The site provides links to hundreds of businesses that support their communities
through giving programs.
The Chronicle of Philanthropy
The Chronicle is the newspaper of the nonprofit world. Visitors to this website
can subscribe (at a cost) to the chronicle's guide to grants, an electronic
database of corporate and foundation grant listed in the periodical since 1995.
This site provides a comprehensive inventory of information disseminated by
the federal government including grants.
