Professional Education Foundation are offering scholarships and low cost
loans to nursing program students. The purpose of the Associate Degree
Nursing Scholarship (ADN) is to increase the number of registered
nursing (RN) practicing in medically underserved (MUA) of California.
Applications for the Associate
Degree nursing Scholarship are accepted bi-annually. Monies awarded under
these programs are intended to pay tuition, required fees, books, supplies
and educational equipment costs related to the applicant's registered nurse
education. All awards are subject to the availability of funding. You must
be a California resident and a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. to
apply.
Fall
applications postmark deadline: September 11, 2009. Please read
application for requirements and procedures.
LaGrange-Cuddy Scholarship
Nancy Cuddy Pennell, a Chabot Nursing Program Graduate is offering $1000
scholarship(s) to student with 3.0 program classes and targeted to graduate
in May 2009. The funds are to assist the student with graduation expenses.
Student must demonstrate a financial need (FAFSA letter), entered the
program as a first year generic student, be currently enrolled in the
program, have completed 3 semesters of the program, be in good academic
standing and have a GPA of 3.0.
2009 ASCC Scholarship and Awards
Associated Students Chabot College are offering 20 scholarships for
returning and transferring students between $200-$1000. Please review
the qualification and essay questions for each scholarship. You may apply
for more than one scholarship.

Deadline for submission is April 1, 2009 at 3:00 PM, Office of Student
Life, Room 2355. Awards will be announced May 8, 2009.
Chabot College Nursing Program Scholarship
Chabot College Nursing Program has additional funding to assist students with
unmet financial needs or unexpected financial circumstances If you are currently enrolled in the Nursing Program and are in good standing
you may qualify for financial aid through the Chabot Nursing Program.
Students must comply with Chabot College Financial aid regulations and have an
unmet need via their federal financial aid evaluation
FAFSA.
The student should complete the application and
submit with supporting documentation to Chabot College Nursing Program,
Scholarship Committee, Room 2203, 25555 Hesperian Blvd. Hayward, CA 94545. on or
before the first of each month. The scholarship committee will review completed
scholarship packets within a week of receipt. For unexpected emergency financial
circumstances, students may submit the scholarship packet at any time for
committee consideration.
Any funding awarded will be reported to
Chabot College Financial Aid
Office. Any award could affect your financial aid package. The Financial Aid
Office is required to include all potential awards against your financial aid
package and your financial aid award may be adjusted. If the student
leaves the Nursing Program prior to the end of the semester in which the funds
are received, the funds are expected to be re-paid to the program. Student
leaving the program prior to the end of the semester in which they receive the
funds will not be allowed re-admission funds are not re-paid.
