To help prepare Chabot students for their first online class, we now offer two new methods of support. If you are interested in a complete course that provides an Introduction to Online Learning for new, current, and future online students, consider GNST 4910: Introduction to Online Learning. For a one-hour, on-campus Orientation to Online Learning for all online students you may be interested in attending one of our Orientations to Online Learning. These resources are designed to help you succeed in your online course!
If you’d like to really prepare for your first online class, take our new Introduction to Online Learning course. This 3-week, half-unit online course will teach you the Blackboard course management system used in online courses, and explain how online courses work. You’ll also learn time management skills, how to get help in online classes, and many other tips for success in online classes. This class is also recommended for those considering an online class in the future. Try it, and see if you like it! Offered online to fit your busy schedule!
There are three different sections offered for Fall 2008. You can register for this course through Class-Web (online registration) or in-person at Admissions and Records (building 100).
