What is Blackboard?
Blackboard is an online learning/course management system for online, hybrid,
and on-campus courses. Blackboard is available 24/7
(except during scheduled maintenance), which allows students to complete
coursework at their convenience within the timeframe specified by each
instructor. Blackboard enables students to access
syllabi, course information, course materials, assignments, tests, exams,
surveys as well as communicate via email, messages, chat, and discussion
boards. Depending on how the instructor uses Blackboard for each course,
students may participate in groups discussions, blogs, journals, wikis, and
