How to Search/Register/Enroll in an Online or Hybrid Course

The registration/enrollment process for online or hybrid courses is the same as for traditional courses.

  1. search for classesStudents can search for online or hybrid (online courses with meetings) using the "Search for Online Classes" link on the CLASS-Web main page. Select the "Online/Web Based Courses" option.

  2. For each course, be sure to note whether there are any required on-campus meetings, technical requirements, or other special notes for the course.

  3. Once you have decided on the course(s) that you would like to enroll in, register for each course just as you would any regular course in CLASS-Web.

Already Enrolled in an Online or Hybrid Class? How to Begin

  1. Check your class schedule in CLASS-Web to verify whether there are any required on-campus meetings, technical requirements, or other special notes for the course. Please note that some hybrid courses may require that you attend the first on-campus meeting prior to logging into Canvas or Blackboard.

  2. On the scheduled start date of your course, log in to Canvas or Blackboard using the instructions provided on those pages. Please note that most instructors do not make their course sites available to students until the class start date, including late-start classes.

  3. For online hybrid courses, be sure to attend any required on-campus meetings. Please note that an instructor may drop students who miss the first meeting of a course. The first meeting of online or hybrid courses is the first day of the class as specified in the class schedule listing and may be an on-campus meeting.

  4. Be sure to make note of deadlines within the course for participating and submitting assignments. Please note that instructors also may drop students who do not log into a Blackboard course site and/or complete assigned activities by the third day after the start date of the class.
