In 1998, the federal government passed The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, formerly The Student Right to Know Act of 1990. This law requires colleges and universities receiving federal funding to disclose the reported instances of criminal activity on their campuses.
Campus Safety and Security Report
These reports include an accounting of mandatory crime statistics on campus. Public property statistics may also be found on file in a report at the Department of Campus Safety and Security.
