Currently, the cheerleading/spirit group is 13 members strong and tryouts are held in April and sometimes mid-term in December. The group may be comprised of from 8 to 16 members yearly. Currently, the college provides the uniform of skirt, vest, sweater, bag and poncho which is then returned at the end of the season. The cheerleaders are expected to purchase sweats, shoes, poms, socks and kick-pants costing in the area of $270.00 per year. Students who try out must already have some dance or previous cheerleading experience. The normal schedule is to meet 2 practice days for 2 hrs each session and all the games, both home and away.
