2311 Computer Use
Board Policy 2311.7.b
System-wide messages sent by e-mail that are addressed to Everyone, Chabot, or LPC should be reserved for appropriate uses. Appropriate system-wide uses include, but are not limited to, emergency notices, district-wide announcements, and college-wide announcements. Inappropriate system-wide uses include, but are not limited to, personal opinions and commentaries.
Authority to send an e-mail addressed to Everyone, Chabot, or LPC rests with the chancellor, presidents, vice presidents, the chief technology officer, Deans, or their designees. Employees not in one of the above positions are required to seek, and receive, permission in order to send an e-mail addressed to Everyone, Chabot, or LPC.
Employees are not allowed to create their own mass e-mail distribution lists that simulate Everyone, Chabot, or LPC.
