Chabot College desires to maintain an academic and work environment which protects the dignity and promotes the mutual respect of all employees and students. Sexual harassment of employees or students will not be condoned. In general, deliberate verbal comments, gestures or physical contact of a sexual nature that are unsolicited and unwelcomed will be considered harassment (Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964). Age, ADA, Title VI Non-Discrimination Policy & Procedures

Age
Chabot College complies with the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1974, which prohibits discrimination in employment on the basis of age.

Disabled
Chabot College does not discriminate on the basis of disability in the admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its programs or activities. The designee to coordinate compliance with non-discrimination requirements in the Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which is designed to eliminate discrimination on the basis of handicap in any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance, is:

Chabot College complies with the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the regulations adopted thereunder. No person shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program of the college. Chabot College also complies with Title VII of the Act, which includes nondiscrimination on the basis of religion and sex. Limited language skills are not a barrier to occupational programs and services.
