Barangay Chabot provides a space where Chabot Students can learn about Filipino roots, culture, history, and heritage. We say "Barangay" because we want to build a sense of community among Filipinos and other community members on and off campus. Chabot Chess Club

Chess is a beautiful game. The goal of our club is to share chess with the world, starting with our school. We want to be able to bring people together from all walks of life, whether they're beginners or hidden grandmasters. We teach all levels here, and will occasionally host a tournament.

My Sister's Keeper

My Sister's Keeper (MSK) is a leadership development/support group for young African-American Queens. We are a sisterhood of educated women that meets weekly in a loving space, to inspire, empower and encourage Black women to recognize their individual and unique differences; while appreciating commonalities that create a sisterhood and lifelong bonds.

The objective of our weekly meetings is to equip our members with the knowledge, skills, and tools they need so they can exemplify and act like Queens and Women of Excellence.

Our aim is to develop and strengthen how we demonstrate love for ourselves, our sisters, and others.

Nikkei Student Union (NSU)

The Nikkei Student Union (NSU) at Chabot organizes social and community service activities that fosters Japanese American cultural and political awareness amongst the campus community. The Nikkei Student Union at Chabot is the first Japanese club on campus, and the first NSU in a community college in Northern California. After nearly a decade of hiatus, we’re driven to revive our Vietnamese community and reestablish VSA here at Chabot College. We strive to build connections with those who share the same Vietnamese ethnic backgrounds, and also those who aren’t Vietnamese themselves but share an interest and passion for the culture. Our biweekly meetings will provide a space for cultural learning, engagement, and bonding with educational slideshows, exciting hands-on activities, and delicious potluck food! All is welcome!
