OFFICE OF STUDENT LIFE

Local Housing

Chabot College currently does not have any form of on campus housing available to students; however, the Office of Student Life maintains a listing of housing accommodations from local landlords and home-owners. Please be aware that these listings are not inspected by Chabot College, and thus Students should not hold the College accountable for any complications that may occur. Please note that Students are individually responsible to carefully choose an acceptable housing option.

Students looking for housing may find a listing of available accommodations on the Housing Board located in the Lobby of Building 2300, or online through the following link. These postings are updated at the beginning of each month, and students should contact the Landlord through the information in the listing.

Homeowners or Landlords seeking to rent out a room should fill out a Housing Listing Form, and submit it to the Office of Student Life along with a $10 fee, payable by cash or Cashier's Check made payable to "Chabot College". Listings are posted at the beginning of each month; please submit your Housing Form before this time. Listings will stay up for a one month. If you would like to extend your listing, please visit the Office of Student Life with your Listing Number and $5 for the extension.

Please mail all payments to:

Chabot College
Office of Student Life (RM 2355)
25555 Hesperian Blvd
Hayward, CA 94545

and make checks payable to "Chabot College"

Cal State University Dormitories

Cal State University East Bay has worked out a Memorandum of Agreement with Chabot and Las Positas Colleges for our students to obtain housing at the Pioneer Heights On-Campus Apartments and Suites. CSUEB is promoting residential life through creating an environment where learning and personal growth are a part of daily life. The establishment of a Learning Community includes both academic and recreational activities, with faculty advisors also residing in the facility.

The first step in the application process is to fill out a Chabot - CSUEB Housing Application and submit it to the Office of Student Life (RM 2355) or fax it to us at (510) 723-7196. Students must be registered in a minimum of 12 units per semester at Chabot College and be in good academic standing.

After submitting the Chabot - CSUEB Housing Application please fill out the Cal State East Bay's housing application, and submit it along with a $40 (non refundable) application fee to Cal State East Bay. Please refer to CSUEB's website for information on completing the process.

Costs, subject to availability, for a double-occupancy room (to be shared by two persons) in a two-bedroom apartment, can be obtained from CSUEB's website.

The purchase of meal tickets for on-site dining is an option.
