Getting Started at Chabot College

Welcome to Chabot College! The Veterans Affairs Administration is authorized by law to provide a wide range of benefits to those who have served their country in the Armed Forces and to their dependents. The Chabot College Veterans Services Office is primarily responsible for administration of veteran educational benefits programs. We look forward in helping you in your academic success!

Please read important changes to Priority Registration: The California Community Colleges Board of Governors approved changes that will establish system-wide enrollment priorities designed to ensure classes are available for students seeking job training, degree attainment or transfer and to provide incentives to students who make progress toward their educational goals. Per SB 1456, all students including veterans or service members must have completed college orientation, assessment, and developed student education plan to receive the highest level of priority. Students who are active-duty military, veterans, and/or reservists will continue to receive priority registration if they meet and complete the following requirements:

  1. DD-214 with honorable/other than honorable discharge or proof of military status on file with the Chabot Veterans Services Office.

  2. College online orientation.

  3. Assessment.

  4. Student Education Plan.
Obtain veterans priority appointment referral from Veterans Office.

  5. Maintain good academic standing.

  6. Check your status, log into CLASS-Web and click the Check your Priority Registration Status link under Student Services & Financial Aid tab.

Complete the Veterans Enrollment Checklist to make sure you take all the steps necessary to enter successfully into Chabot College.

Veterans Priority Registration to sign up for classes for both summer and fall terms is on April 19, 2016.
