Students must identify the courses from the Chabot College class schedule that best fits their availability. Students will need the course name, Course Registration Number (CRN), and number of units.
Regulations on choosing Courses:
- While students can take any course, some courses, such as Math or Science, can fill up quickly. Class seats are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- If the course needs a prerequisite, that prerequisite needs to be completed before taking the course.
- Some courses require an assessment. For more information, please visit the Assessment Center.
- Chabot College's Admissions and Records (A&R) will not accept forms that request courses where the students have not met the requirements.
Tips on Identifying Courses:
- Class Schedule is available on the class schedule webpage.
- Choosing Major Specific: Please make an appointment with a Chabot College counselor to determine what Chabot College classes best fit a specific major or program.
- Choosing General Education (GE) Classes: Please make an appointment with a Chabot College counselor to determine what Chabot classes will fit a General Education requirement.
If you intend to take any Math, English, or Chemistry classes or any classes with a prerequisite in Math or English, visit the Assessment Center website for instructions.
Complete the Adult Dual Enrollment SB 554 Dual Enrollment Form and obtain permission from designated Adult School Official.
- You will receive an email informing you that you are ready to register on MyPortal.
- Please register on the registration date in your email. Some classes are very popular and can be difficult for high school students to enroll in.
