Chabot's Business
Department is now offering a series of 1-unit courses intended to provide you
with the skills needed to secure a job or to enhance your employability or
potential for promotion. These short, 6-week courses are focused on specific
job-hunting skills, on developing a plan to start your own business, on
improving your professionalism and your ability to supervise others. These
courses will help you to build the skills you want quickly! All courses are
online and designed to fit your busy schedule. See the class schedule for
specific dates for each course.
Earning a Degree?
These courses can be
applied toward the 3-9 additional business units required for your AS Degree in
Business (General Business, Management, or Marketing emphasis). The courses are
also transferable as electives to a 4-year university. Limitations apply, so
please speak with a counselor.
Earning a Certificate?
Effective Fall 2010, You
can earn a new
Certificate of Proficiency "Business
Skills", which includes 7 units of BUS-50 one-unit courses.
You can also apply these courses toward the 6 additional business units required for your Management
Certificate of Completion or Marketing Certificate of Achievement, or the 5
additional business units required for your Small Business Management
Certificate of Completion.
