Assessment & Placement

For Math and English placements, please complete the Chabot College English and Math course selection tools. Both tools are located under Student Steps to Register in MyPortal - see step-bystep instructions below.

1. Sign-in to MyPortal
2. Click on the Register for Classes tab on the top of the page
3. Under Steps to Register you will find the English and math course selection links 

English learners who would like to take English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, please click on the link below to complete the ESL placement process.

Students interested in taking Chemistry 1A: General College Chemistry have the option of taking the Chemistry Diagnostic Test to fulfill the chemistry pre-requisite for this class.
