APPLY FOR GRADUATION by April 1, 2019
- Complete and submit Request for Degree or Certificate form.
SUBMIT RSVP by April 30th to participate in Commencement
- After applying for graduation, you will receive an Eventbrite invitation on April 15th in your zonemail.
- This invitation also includes information about selecting your commencement session time and how to get tickets for your guests.

Lesly Avendaño
Vice President of Student Senate
Lesly Avendaño, Vice President of Student Senate, is one step closer to Law School. After earning her bachelors degree in Political Science, she plans to pursue public policy and law as a career. Lesly's passion began here at Chabot College, and she hopes to continue the work of making institutional change at whichever college she transfers to. She plans to attend a four-year institution in Fall 2019 and so far has amazing options to choose from, including: San Francisco State, Cal State Fullerton, Sacramento State, Mills College, UCLA, UC Davis, UC Santa Bárbara, and UC Berkeley!

Diploma/Certificates: When will you receive them?
- No diplomas or certificates will be distributed at the ceremony.
- For spring candidates, you will receive notification via postal mail when to pick up your diploma. Mailing information is sent with the notification.
Summer graduates, can you participate?
If you anticipate completion of your graduation requirements by the end of Summer 2019, you will be included in the next year’s Commencement in 2020. You are not required to complete additional petitions.
Additional viewing options: Can you view the ceremony online or on TV?
The Commencement Ceremony will be:
- Streamed LIVE on Ustream.tv;
- Shown simultaneously on Comcast 27 (in the Hayward, San Leandro, Union City, and San Lorenzo areas) and on Channel 99 for AT&T U-Verse;
- Broadcasted live at the Stage One Theater, building 1300. Guests who do not have a ticket may view the ceremony at Stage One on a first come, first serve basis.
