Prepare/Plan
 
  • Identify an existing Associate Degree for Transfer Major that aligns with a similar CSU East Bay major. If no match exists, it’s ok. Either way, partner with your Chabot counselor to develop a customized education plan to make progress on your CSU East Bay bachelor degree while here at Chabot in preparation for transfer. You can complete up to half of your bachelor degree at Chabot College.
  • Seek opportunities to dig deeper into your area of study through volunteer, research, and career-based learning opportunities. Inquire with your instructors and connect with CSU East Bay Departments to explore potential opportunities.
  • Learn about Cross Registration with CSU East Bay and discuss with your Chabot counselor if this may be a good fit for you.
  • Meet with CSU East Bay Outreach Representative for additional support:

Apply

  • Reference application resource guides, tutorial videos, your final year checklist and attend Transfer Application Workshops to support your application and transition to CSU East Bay. 
  • Remember to apply for financial aid and scholarships!
    • For priority consideration for Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 financial aid at CSU East Bay, complete  the 2025-2026 FAFSA/CADAA.
    • For priority consideration for Fall 2026 or Spring 2026 financial aid at CSU East Bay, complete the 2026-2027 FAFSA/CADAA by March 2, 2026.
    • Attend FAFSA/CalDream Act workshops/assistance provided by our Financial Aid Office for assistance completing the financial aid application. 
  • CSU East Bay’s Pioneer Scholarship Portal goes live on November 2nd with most scholarship opportunities available for the 2026-2027 Academic Year.
    • Students do not need to be admitted to the University to apply for scholarships.
    • Students will be awarded when admitted.
    • Students may apply using CSU East Bay issued NetID.
    • The deadline to submit most scholarship applications for the 2026-2027 Academic Year through the Pioneer Scholarship Portal is March 2, 2026.
  • Monitor your MyCSUEB account for To Do Lists and check your CSUEB Horizons Email for important announcements and opportunities.
