Comm Lab Tutoring Schedule

Drop-in Tutoring

• No appointment necessary.
• Drop-in tutoring is available FREE to currently enrolled Chabot students.

How it works

• We offer online peer tutoring and face-to-face peer tutoring. No appointment necessary. See detailed schedule in the glass cabinet outside room 803 to determine format during open hours. Or email a tutor to find out more information.
• Email a tutor at publicspeaking803@gmail.com. To quicken response time, please refer to the COMM Lab schedule. Our online tutor will be responding to incoming emails ONLY during their scheduled hours. If you email outside of scheduled Lab hours, they will respond at the start of the next working day. Please be patient, wait times for tutor response will vary.
• Email/Bring the following information to help tutors offer the most appropriate response and confirm credit for a Comm Lab visit (with instructor approval).
  
  • Your name
  • Your class and instructor’s name
  • Relevant handouts (syllabus, assignment, etc.)

  • What type of help you need – For example: brainstorming topics, speech outline, delivery practice, reducing anxiety, etc.

• Zoom meetings also available. Tutor will provide a one-time use Zoom link, through email. The tutor will only wait 10 minutes for you to arrive, before closing the session.
• Please continue email thread for continued help OR draft a new email for new requests.
• Please be patient, wait times for tutor response will vary.
