Run for Office or Apply to be a Representative
Students are encouraged to apply. You do not need prior experience. We only ask for your commitment to work for all of our students and a willing attitude.
Leadership Opportunities - SSCC includes 10 Executive positions, 10 Student Representative positions, and volunteers, supported by a Faculty Advisor and the Office of Student Life.
The following Executive Officer positions are filled through a popular election held the first week of May for the following academic year:
- President
- Vice-President
- InterClub Council Chair
- Financial Director
- Events Coordinator
- Communications Director
- Legislative Director
- Secretary
- Representative positions, including the position of Representative-at-Large and the Student Trustee are filled through an application and interview process during the first week of May for the following academic year.
Attend SSCC Meetings
Stay up to date on decisions being made by elected officers and campus shared governance developments, provide feedback during public comments, and submit agenda items for consideration by the Student Senate.
