Financial Aid
Due to the current health concern, and Bay Area mandated "Shelter in Place", Chabot College is currently closed to the College community (Students, Faculty, & Staff).  Most classes have transitioned to online instruction.  Admissions & Records, the Financial Aid Office and all other Student Services departments are closed for in-person services.  However, we will continue to provide students with support. We are transitioning to work remotely to meet your needs, and we will reply to you as soon as we can. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

 CLPCCD Response to AB19

  • Chabot does not currently offer a College Promise Program.
While the funds were marketed as “first time, full time, free tuition”, the state gave every college the discretion and authority to use them how they best could serve their students in being successful in college.  Chabot determined that investing in additional staff for financial aid advisement and outreach would potentially serve and positively impact thousands of students to apply for and receive federal and state financial aid, while providing $1104 in enrollment fees could only affect fewer than 350 students.
